I just rolled credits on Fable 2 for the umpteenth time in 2026, and instead of feeling empty, I felt a familiar itch: the need to kick a chicken at a sentient door. If you have never done that, are you even living in Albion?

This old action-adventure RPG may not have fulfilled every wild Peter Molyneux promise, but its post-game sandbox is still wonderfully strange. Once the main story ends and Lucien is dealt with, the Hero of Bowerstone can chase demon doors, silence gargoyles, become a landlord tycoon, and marry half the population. Here is everything I do after beating Fable 2.

Track Down the Demon Doors 🚪

There are eight Demon Doors scattered across Albion, and each one is basically a puzzle with a weird personality. Some want proof of extreme evil, some want a romantic proposal right in front of them, and one apparently just wants to see a chicken get punted. I have stood in front of a door and proposed to a villager just to open it. The villager said yes. I took the treasure, celebrated, and then quietly ghosted them. True heroism.

Chasing these doors is not just about completion. The rewards can be genuinely useful, ranging from gold to legendary weapons, and finding them forces you to revisit areas you probably rushed through during the main campaign. My morally grey Hero has been both saint and sinner depending on which door I needed to open that day.

Silence the Gargoyles 🗿

Nothing in Fable 2 humbles you quite like a stone gargoyle mocking your fashion sense. These little creatures are scattered throughout the world, and they will absolutely roast you until you shut them up. To do that, you need the Aimed Ranged Attack skill and a ranged weapon. Once you start blasting them, the game gives you a map, and suddenly you are on a sniping tour of Albion.

There are fifty gargoyles in total, and every ten defeated unlocks a new reward at the Gargoyle's Trove. I like to think of it as the world's angriest collect-a-thon. By 2026, I still forget one or two locations every run and end up wandering Bowerstone Market like a confused tourist with a crossbow.

Play the DLC 🏝️

If you have not touched the downloadable content, you are leaving a decent chunk of Fable 2 unplayed. There are two pieces worth visiting in 2026. The first, Knothole Island, sends you to a strange island where magical artifacts let you control the weather. It is a short but fun trip that adds new areas, quests, and loot.

The second, See The Future, leans into magical artifacts too. It opens up new locations and lets you mess around with some curious items. Neither DLC is enormous, but after the main story wraps, they feel like a welcome bonus season rather than a full sequel. I always save them for after the credits so I have something fresh to return to.

Become a Real Estate Tycoon 🏠

One of my favorite post-game activities is buying everything that is not nailed down. Houses, shops, stalls, pubs—you name it, my Hero probably owns it. Once I have a pile of gold from the main game, I start snapping up property in Bowerstone, Bloodstone, and every settlement in between. Then I adjust the rent like a cartoon villain, wait for the coin to roll in, and suddenly I am the wealthiest person in Albion.

This turns Fable 2 into a passive income simulator. Instead of doing quests for money, I can simply wake up, collect rent, and use the fortune to buy better gear, gifts, and even more property. It is a satisfying loop that keeps me logging back in long after the main story is finished.

Get Married and Have Kids 💍

Because saving the world is not enough, my Hero also needs a chaotic personal life. You can find dozens of potential spouses in Fable 2, and the game is very generous about how many NPCs you can marry at once. I have had a Hero who was basically running a fantasy dating spreadsheet. Marry a few villagers, buy a few homes, and suddenly every town has someone who is madly in love with you—or mildly annoyed because you forgot their anniversary.

Having kids is also on the table. It is mostly for flavor, but it gives you another reason to keep coming back to your homes. In 2026, I find it hilarious that my legendary Hero still has to deal with domestic life between demon door hunts.

Alter Your Physical Appearance 💇

After all that adventuring, my Hero often looks like a sleepy raccoon who fell into a wardrobe. Fortunately, you can change hair and clothing, and you can also change body size by eating different foods. Celery keeps things lean, while pies and meat add a little bulk. It is a simple system, but it gives you control over your character's look long after the story ends.

I have spent an embarrassing amount of gold just making my Hero look like a proper fantasy landlord: fancy coat, obnoxious hat, and just enough pie to seem trustworthy.

So if you are wondering what to do after beating Fable 2 in 2026, the answer is simple: own everything, marry everyone, and never let those gargoyles win.
